B-Nkp46-iCre mice
Strain Name

C57BL/6-Nkp46tm1(icre)Bcgen/Bcgen

Stock No.  110127
Common name

B-Nkp46-iCre mice

Gene symbol and name  Ncr1(natural cytotoxicity triggering receptor 1), NKp46; Ly94
Strain of origin

C57BL/6

Chromosome  7
Coat color Black Dietary information Growth and reproduction diet for experimental mice
NCBI Gene ID
17086

Application

  • Function research of genes
  • This Ncr1iCre model is an efficient tool to study various gene functions when crossed with mice with different loxP site-flanked genes of interest, especially in studies of natural killer (NK) cells related signaling.

Expression

Expressed gene

iCre, improved cre recombinase, bacteriophage P1

Site of expression

The molecular is expressed on resting and activated NK cells

Gene editing strategy

from clipboard

An IRES-iCre sequence cassette was placed between the coding sequence of exon 7 and 3’UTR of the Nkp46 gene using C57BL/6 embryonic stem cells. Neo cassette flanked by frt sites was inserted at least 300bp downstream of 3’UTR. This strain was maintained on a C57BL/6 genetic background.

Phenotype Analysis

from clipboard

NKp46 þ ILC3 cells from Washflox/flox and Washflox/floxNcr1-Cre mice were in situ hybridized with probes against Ahr promoter, followed by staining with antibodies against WASH and Arid1a (upper panel). White arrow head indicates Ahr promoters colocalized with Arid1a. Percentages of cells with Arid1a colocalized Ahr promoter were calculated (lower panel). At least 200 NKp46 þ ILC3 cells were counted. Scale bar, 5 mm.
