Disease Model Resources
Focusing on the three major disease fields of tumor immunity/oncology, autoimmunity and endocrine/metabolic disorders, Biocytogen has established a vast supply ofdisease models. Our models include murine homologous cell lines and tumor models, human tumor cell transplantation (CDX) and tissue transplantation (PDX) models, immunodeficient models for human peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC) and human hematopoietic stem cell (CD34+ HSC) transplantation for immune reconstitution, autoimmune models that recapitulate symptoms of asthma, atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, arthritis, enteritis, etc., and metabolism models such as diabetes and NASH. Together these models simulate the occurrence of human diseases to a greater extent and provide stable and effective model resources for the evaluation of drugs for disease treatment, thus providing international standard pharmacological& pharmacodynamic services for the majority of partners.
Cancer immunotherapy is one of the promising breakthroughs in anti-cancer therapy in recent years, and its principle is to control and remove tumors by activating the immune system. In general, the immune checkpoint genes of common mice are homologous to human genes, and antibodies targeting human proteins do not recognize proteins in mice, so tumor models established on common mice evaluate the in vivo efficacy of these antibody drugs.
